Driving Licence)

 

The ECDL is the world’s leading end-user computer skills certification programme with more than 7 million people in 148 countries participating. The ECDL establishes a standard for everyone who uses a computer in either a professional or personal capacity. It is internationally recognised as the global benchmark for end-user computer skills.

 

An ECDL certificate certifies that the holder is fully competent in the use of a personal computer and common computer applications and knows the essential concepts of IT.

Module 3 (Word Processing)

Create, format and complete small sized word processing documents

Duplicate and move text within and between documents

Create standard tables

Use pictures and images within a document

Use mail merge tools

Module 4 (Spreadsheets)

Develop, format, modify, and using a spreadsheet

Generate and apply mathematical and logical formulas

Create and format graphs and charts.

Module 5 (Database)

Create and modify tables, queries, forms, and reports

Relate tables

Use query and sort tools to retrieve and manipulate information

Module 6 (Presentation)

Create, format, modify, and prepare presentations

Duplicate and move text, pictures, images and charts

Accomplish common operations with images, charts and drawn objects

Use various slide show effects

Module 7 (Information and Communication)

Internet use and security

Perform web searches

Bookmark Web sites

Print Web pages and search results

Navigate within and complete Web-based forms

E-mail use and security

Send and receive messages

Attach files to messages

Organize and manage message folders and directories

 

Prerequisite

A solid foundation in the general use of computers is required.
